The magic coding pixies have been hard at work and have managed to make all searches much, much faster.  Usually about 3 times as quick.

This changes speeds up all FatFingers.com searches - including the new Last Minute Bargains page and Fat Fingers for the iPhone/iPod Touch.

New Feature Alert!

Thanks to a handy suggestion, there is now a new page on FatFingers.com - Last Minute Bargains.

It does what it says: it finds eBay auctions ending soon that have been misspelled.  Misspelled items do not turn up in the regular eBay search and therefore attract very few bids.

Fat Fingers for iPhone / iPod Touch v1.1

Fat Fingers for iPhone / iPod Touch (free!) has only just been released, but hot on it’s heels is v1.1 which adds the following cool features:

• Faster results, faster scrolling
• View page in Safari or email the link
• Tips page
• Fixed the occasional crash

It makes looking for misspelled bargains on eBay an even nicer experience.

It has been submitted to Apple and should be available soon.  Download v1.0 now and you’ll automatically get the v1.1 update as soon as it is available.

busy times

It’s been a busy few months.  Lots of improvements to FatFingers.com and the release of Fat Fingers for iPhone / iPod Touch!

There is now a feedback forum where you can report bugs and suggest new features.

You can now search by eBay category which helps separate items you are interested in.

Also new is the ability to look for parts of the search words that are not misspelled.  For example, “sony [phone]” finds phones that have Sony misspelled.  Or “playstation [3]” finds misspellings of playstation 3’s but none of the other, older versions.
