Tip #7: When things go wrong...
eBay is constantly evolving and occasionally a change will break FatFingers.com.
In fact this morning I noticed and fixed a problem searching on eBay.com.

Tip #6: Ignoring extra spaces - when and why?
Most of the time, it’s worth letting FatFingers.com to look for misspellings with an extra space in it.
For example, someone once told me they’d won an iPod for a quarter of the going price because Fat Fingers had found an ‘i pod’ on eBay.

Tip #5: Get automatic updates for searches
If you use an RSS reader you can get live updates for a search. Newly listed items will automatically appear in the list.
Do the search on FatFingers.com as normal, then click ‘rss for this search’ that appears and add it to your RSS reader.
You will get a constantly updated results list in your RSS reader.

Tip #4: Use category filtering
Use category filtering in eBay to home in on exactly the items you want.
For example, if you are looking for a flat-panel television, on FatFingers.com search for “Television”. Single word searches gain the best results!
When the results are shown on eBay, use the “Categories” panel on left side of the page and click Televisions then Flat-Panel.

Tip #3: Saved Searches
Always searching for the same item on FatFingers.com?
There’s an easy way to do this.
Once you’ve done your search, look at the “do more” box.
Click ‘remember this search’ and your search will be added to ‘My Saved Searches’:
Next time you visit, just click on the word and it will search eBay for misspellings and typos of your item.

Scream if you want to go faster...
The magic coding pixies have been hard at work and have managed to make all searches much, much faster. Usually about 3 times as quick. This changes speeds up all FatFingers.com searches - including the new Last Minute Bargains page and Fat Fingers for the iPhone/iPod Touch.

New Feature Alert!
Thanks to a handy suggestion, there is now a new page on FatFingers.com - Last Minute Bargains.
It does what it says: it finds eBay auctions ending soon that have been misspelled. Misspelled items do not turn up in the regular eBay search and therefore attract very few bids. Check out the Last Minute Bargains.

About FatFingers
So what does FatFingers.com do?
It finds spelling mistakes on eBay. As these items don’t show up the standard eBay search results, they get no bids and you can usually pick them up for the opening price.
